About ICTA

Legacy, Purpose & Creative Impact

Our Core Values

Creativity as a Human Right

Creative expression is not a privilege, but a human need that belongs to every child, adult, and elder.

Compassionate Innovation

We honour our legacy while embracing new approaches, platforms, and partnerships that deepen impact.

Inclusion Without Exception

Our programmes are designed with the communities we serve. Every individual is a contributor, not simply a recipient.

Evidence-Informed Practice

Our work is grounded in research, best practice, and continuous learning.

Community as Foundation

Even as we scale globally, we believe lasting change is local first, and we remain committed to promoting and preserving our culture.

Our Story

Innovations and Creativity through the Arts (I.C.T.A.) is the evolved expression of Inventions and Creativity through the Arts — a UNESCO-endorsed non-governmental organisation that spent 22 years delivering transformative, evidence-based arts education and community awareness programmes across Trinidad and Tobago.

After more than two decades of impactful work through its “5-mile community radius projects,” the organisation made a deliberate and forward-looking decision: to go digital, expand its reach, and focus its deepest expertise where it is needed most — training and facilitation.

The rebranding to I.C.T.A. marks not an ending, but an expansion, carrying forward the integrity, methodology, and passion of the original while opening new doors to serve communities worldwide, with a special focus on the Caribbean and Latin America.

The proven community-based model continues through I.C.T.A.’s sustainability programming, ensuring that local roots remain nourished even as the organisation’s reach extends beyond borders.

Our Mission

To harness the transformative power of arts and creativity as tools for healing, inclusion, and human dignity — delivering innovative, evidence-informed programmes that enrich the lives of individuals navigating Autism Spectrum Disorder, early-onset Dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease, while sustaining vibrant arts education in the communities that shaped us.

Our Vision

A world where every person — regardless of neurological profile, age, or ability — has access to the restorative, expressive, and connective power of the arts. I.C.T.A. envisions an inclusive global landscape where creativity is recognised as essential to wellbeing, and where arts-based interventions are at the forefront of compassionate community care.
